I've been trying for a long time. Started with 380 pieces of gnarled cheese. Have been successful in catching one Hydra -- but no blueprint. I am down to appx. 35 pieces of gnarled. If I don't make it...general store in Catacombs, here I come!

Just some info... According to Dave, one of the game developers, the best trap you can get to hunt the Hydra mouse is the DDB. Anyway, here’s the thing- later on you will need the DDB anyway; it’s necessary to hunt in the Tribal Islands AND it’s useful for crafting an even stronger trap. That means that owning the Drillbot now is a good investment for the future. You’ll either buy it now or buy it later. Hope this info helps. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteGuys I know from experience that the best way to catch a Hydra is using the wicked gnarled cheese which you get from the Mad Scientist mouse at the Great Gnarled Tree. He drops a potion and you use that. Then head to the Lagoon and hunt away. CAUTION!!! Wait till you have at least 30 or more wicked gnarled cheese as it is a tough place to hunt even for a GRANDMASTER. Im using a explosive toboggan ride with gingerbread base and obviously wicked gnarled cheese and ive caught 3 in a row.
