The Worker Mouse may also drop a few of these when tripped up.

I've also heard that Ronza sometimes sells it when she comes. But that of course is unannounced and unpredictable. Myth also has it that she offers a better price.
@ Heather, when she was last at Gnawia with the Polar base, the wood was selling at 175g. Which was why I didn't mention it..
Yea, she's back and it's still 175g, but I think it's more expensive because it's allowing lower-level hunters with enough money to build the dehydration base before they would otherwise be able to.

Trent Mice give like five pieces of splintered wood every time you catch it... I have too much splintered wood and I have no idea what to do with it
huge tip: use brie cheese in lagoon to catch lots of treant mice. using gnarled cheese doesn't attract treant mice as well as brie does.

Save your wood. Later on you will need it for the SS Huntington. It takes 900 wood. I made the mistake of selling my wood and now im Legendary and have never been to the Tribal Isles. Dont make that mistake.
And unless you have a sugar mama payin your way (which i doubt anyone can afford) it costs about 510 000 gold to buy the materials.
